Coastal Tenor Ukulele
Koa and Redwood
Some of the first surfboards were made out of Koa later on they started making them out of Redwood. This ukulele puts the two together and with the Abalone rosette and trim it looks and sounds very surfy! To be played on the shore of your favorite body of water!

Ronroco from Ecuador SOLD!!
I picked up this Ronroco on a recent trip to Ecuador. It was built by a Luthier that I use to work with in the mid '90s. He is a skilled and quality luthier.... the only problem with this instrument is that I liked it so much I couldn't help but play it a bit and put some small scratches in the top. With that said, I feel that this is a gem that will be intensely enjoyed by it's new....... You!
The Ronroco is a big Charango (kind of like a Baritone uke is to a soprano). The tuning is as follows: 1st B 2nd E 3rd B 4th G 5th D These are pairs and tuned in octaves from the 3rd pair to the 5th pair To learn more about the Charangos and like instruments click here

Western Red Cedar top with Almendro back and sides lend to it's bold clear bright tones and full projection that will place you at the center of attention in any setting. The requinto is played like a guitar with a capo on the fifth fret. It has six nylon strings with a scale length of 530 to 540 mm, which is about 18% smaller than a standard guitar scale. Requintos made in Ecuador have a deeper body than a standard classical guitar (110 mm as opposed to 105 mm). Requinto guitars are used throughout Latin America. Requintos are tuned: A-D-G-c-e-a.
